Our new admin dashboard is here and we wanted to give all of our users an update on their new and improved experience.

This new dashboard focuses on highlighting the most important information nonprofits need to know to make their RoundUp programs a success! We’ve streamlined our design, added new views for donors and reporting, and enhanced our donor management tools.

Here’s what’s been updated:

  • A brand new home screen
  • Enhancements to reporting
  • Enhancements and new features for donor management
  • Bug fixes and improvements

Your brand new home screen

We spend a lot of time talking to nonprofits about what tools they need to be successful and what data they need to prove their success. With those two points in mind we’ve updated the view you’ll see when first logging into your admin dashboard.

Our updated admin dashboard home page

We’ve focused on highlighting key metrics of success that you can use to prove the impact of your RoundUp program. We’ve removed our donations over time metric from the home screen and moved it to its new home in the “donations” section.

On the home screen, you’ll now see metrics on total donations, average donations per month, active donors, and donors by type. You’ll also be able to set a donor goal for your nonprofit.

Improvements to reporting

As we’ve updated your home screen, we’ve also enhanced your donor and donation reports. You’ll now be able to find reports on all your donations under the new “donations” section.

For more detailed information on your individual donors, we’ve created the donors section. Here you’ll find information on your donors along with new donor management and filter tools.

Donations page

The donations section of your dashboard will now give you a cleaner, more flexible view of all of your donations. You’ll now see a total of all your donations at the top, along with a list of all donations made to your nonprofit.

Your donation report is filterable over time, allowing you to track donations with custom start and end dates. Now you’ll be able to better track your donations on your nonprofit’s timeline.

We’ve also added features for searching for specific donations. You’ll easily be able to find donations made by an individual’s name or email address!

Clicking on each specific donation will give you more information on the donor that made that donation.

Best of all? All of this information is exportable as a customizable CSV. You’ll only download the information you need, for the time periods you choose.

Donors page

With this update, we’ve improved the donor management tools we currently offer, giving nonprofits more tools to track, filter, and manage the donors they bring into RoundUp App!

From the donors page, you’ll see a list of all your donors with name, email, phone number, status, signup date, and donor type listed. You’ll be able to search by a donor name, email or phone number, as well as filter by the type of donor they are (RoundUp, monthly, one-time giver) or the status of their donation (Paused, inactive, active).

We’ve also made it possible for nonprofit administrators to pause individual donors without contacting support! Administrators have the ability to pause donors when asked, but currently not to restart donations on behalf of a donor.

Billing details

New to this update, nonprofits will now have the ability to view and download all monthly billing receipts. These are conveniently located in the billing details area of your admin dashboard.

By clicking your profile in the top right-hand corner and clicking “billing details” you can find your billing details page. This info will include the month of the receipt, your total current donation count, gross donation amounts, and info on processing fees. You’ll also be able to download each receipt as a PDF directly to your computer.

This fall, we asked ourselves a simple question: how can we help nonprofits gain more donors on RoundUp App? The answer: our Fall into Change sweepstakes!

Between September 22nd and December 1st, we tasked nonprofits with a simple goal of signing up new donors. Any nonprofit that gained 10+ donors during this period was given a shot at winning a $1,000 donation straight from RoundUp App. But, wait there’s more! We also rewarded the nonprofit that brought in the most donors with a $500 donation from RoundUp App.

Hundreds of nonprofits and donors joined us during this period and started taking advantage of our effortless platform for donating. However, only two could win the main prizes.

And the winners are….

Drumroll please! Our two awesome winners are Goats of Anarchy and Food for the Hungry! Goats of Anarchy took home our grand prize, a $1,000 donation, and Food for the Hungry took home the second prize of signing up the most donors!

Congrats to both nonprofits, and a special round of applause to every single nonprofit that joined and participated in our sweepstakes! Keep reading to learn more about our two winners and the great work they do.

An animal sanctuary with a great brand and even greater cause

Our $1,000 winner, Goats of Anarchy describes themselves as a “farm animal sanctuary dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of goats with disabilities.” We’ve written about them before, and suffice to say, they’re un-baa-leviable (okay that’s a reused joke). They leverage their strong social media assets to promote their RoundUp App program and make targeted and repeated asks of their audience.

When we reached out to them about the prize they had this to say: “We are thrilled!!! As you may know, we are a 501c3 nonprofit for farmed animals. We specialize in goats with disabilities and many of them use wheeled carts or prostheses for mobility. We will be using your donation toward the next set of prostheses that we get for one of our animals in need! Thank you so much! We are so grateful!!!”

You can follow their journey on their awesome instagram account or start donating to them from RoundUp App!

A nonprofit dedicated to changing a child’s future

Food for the Hungry is a nonprofit dedicated to ending poverty. They believe “poverty is complex and everchanging…that ending poverty requires more than just providing raw resources.” and take a holistic approach to ending poverty.

The work they do is focused on “intentional and purposeful community development” and have a four-phased approach to the work they do. Food for the Hungry has a number of diverse programs they support, including emergency seed support, covid-19 response, primary health services for refugees, and so many more.

Here’s what their Chief Development Officer, Ryan Brown, had to say about their win and their experience with RoundUp App:

“We’re honored to be working with RoundUp App and honored to be a recipient of the Fall Sweepstakes donation. The sweepstakes donation, as well as the donations from our new RoundUp App donors, are being directed to our Children in Crisis fund. The Children in Crisis fund allows us to respond quickly and effectively in the wake of natural disasters and other potentially catastrophic circumstances. Over the last year, Children in Crisis funds have been some of the very first dollars we’ve deployed to meeting the needs after the August 2021 Haiti earthquake as well as providing life-saving support in the current drought in Eastern Africa.”

You can learn more about Food for the Hungry at their website or join them on RoundUp App.

We’re thrilled to see the growth both of these nonprofits have had this fall and can’t wait to see what they do next. A special round of applause is also needed for each and every nonprofit and donor who signed up during this period. Together, you really made a difference and made this fall a true season of change.

2022 is right around the corner and let’s be honest, 2021 has been an eventful year. As we wrap up the old year and look forward to the new year, we’re launching one last celebration for nonprofits and the donors that support them! How are we celebrating? By starting our biggest and boldest mission yet: matching $10k in donations.

Our mission is to build a community of giving. That’s why we’re making December a month-of-matching by committing ourselves to match up to $10,000 in donations. We can’t do it alone though, we’ll need your help!

Throughout December, any time a new donor signs up for RoundUp App and starts donating to a nonprofit, we’ll match that donation up to $50. But we’re not stopping there! We’ll also be matching one-time donations, and donations made to additional nonprofits from both current and new donors!

Why we’re pledging 10k in matching donations

The short answer: we want to see nonprofits thrive and we’re committed to getting them there, whatever it takes. The longer answer: we know from the research that matching donations makes donors more likely to donate and helps nonprofits retain the donors they currently have!

Matching donations is also part of our goal to build a community of giving across the nation. Whether it’s small-dollar donations going directly to local communities, or big-dollar donations helping to fund new research, we know that every single dollar makes a difference.

3 ways to get your donation matched

We’ve set up our month-of-matching so that all types of donors can contribute. There are three ways brand new donors and current donors can participate and get their donations matched.

  1. New donors automatically get their donations matched.
New donors who join RoundUp App and make a new donation get that donation matched up to $50!
  2. We’ll match all one-time donations.
We’re matching all one-time gifts made to nonprofits during this period, up to $50!
  3. We’ll match donations to additional nonprofits added in December.
For donors currently donating using RoundUp App, we’ve got a special offer. For each additional nonprofit you add a new recurring donation to, you’ll get that donation matched. Plus you’ll get the donation to your original nonprofit matched up to $50 too!

How donors can get involved

Donating to nonprofits you support is the best way to get involved as a donor. Whether it’s a one-time, monthly, or RoundUp donation, we’ll match each donation up to $50.

If you’re already giving, you can help us reach a wider audience by sharing our matching challenge with your friends and family or through social media. By sharing our campaign, you’ll help us make a huge impact and connect with nonprofits across the country.

How nonprofits can get involved

As a nonprofit, you can get involved by adding new donors to RoundUp App throughout December. You can also encourage your current donors to make one-time donations through RoundUp App.

Donors who give through RoundUp App donate, on average, $15 – $20 a month, have an +80% retention rate, and have an easy-to-use dashboard for managing their charitable donations. If you haven’t worked with RoundUp App before, it’s super easy to get started, and nonprofits get access to tons of special features like:

  • Up to the minute donation reports
  • Complete marketing library
  • Customizable brand profile to make signup a breeze
  • An always-growing pool of potential donors
  • Plus full-service support, live chat, weekly “office hours” and a constant stream of new features and functionality!

Make our $10,000 matching promise a reality

Help us make our $10,000 matching promise a reality by donating today. RoundUp App is free to use for donors and supports one-time, monthly, or RoundUp donations. We hope you’ll join us throughout December as we celebrate nonprofits and the donors that support them!

We’ve just made some big changes to our donor app that we’re excited to share. Our new donor app has been completely redesigned to create a brand new experience for donors. We’re connecting donors to a larger community of giving while providing them the tools they need to manage all of their charitable giving from one place. This new app is all about making it effortless for donors to find, connect, and donate to the nonprofits they know and love.

The web app, iOS, and Android versions of our new donor app are now live.

Call us the Nonprofit Matchmaker

Nonprofits know how crucial it is to find and connect to new donors. Donors also know how challenging it can be to find a nonprofit that supports the causes they’re passionate about. That’s why we placed nonprofit discoverability at the heart of our new donor app.

Our new discover screen, where donors can search for nonprofits by cause.

By embedding cause categories and improving searchability, we’ve made it even easier for donors to find, and start donating to, nonprofits. With 26 categories of nonprofits, along with search options for state, EIN, location, name, and keywords, finding nonprofits is a breeze.

We’re Building a Community of Giving

Research shows that most donors give, on average, to four different nonprofits a year. That’s why we’ve added the option for donors to manage all of their nonprofits from our app. Donors now have the option to add multiple organizations to their donor profiles and manage their recurring, one-time, or monthly donations all from one profile.

Our new giving page, where donors can now donate to multiple nonprofits.

We’re helping donors connect to and manage all of their charitable giving while giving nonprofits a new way to be discovered. Donation amounts won’t change when donors add new nonprofits, instead, donors will increase their giving when adding additional nonprofits they support. It’s all part of our mission to make global change and foster a community of giving by making donating as effortless as possible.

A Hub for All Types of Donors

Nonprofits rely on all types of donors to achieve their goals. Whether they’re monthly donors, RoundUp donors, or giving one-time gifts, we’ve made it easier for donors to give. Donors have full control over their donations, allowing them to set up recurring monthly donations, RoundUp donations, or one-time gifts to multiple nonprofits.

Our new donation screen, where donors can choose from multiple types of donations to make to their favorite nonprofits.

These types of donations can be changed or updated at any time without leaving the app, helping improve donors’ ease of donating. These features also make it even easier for nonprofits to receive donations from a diverse range of donor types.

Making Change Visible

Tracking, charting, and managing donations is a breeze with our new donor app. With a newly designed homepage, we’ve made it easier for donors to see monthly donations and track their total RoundUp donations by organization!

With the launch of our updated app, we’re also releasing a much-requested feature from nonprofits: tax receipts. Now tax receipts will be available for all donors. Donors will get yearly tax receipts sent directly to their email.

Changing the World, One Penny at a Time.

Phase one of our plans to facilitate connecting more donors to more nonprofits was our enhanced search functionality. The launch of our new donor app is phase two of our plan to foster a community of giving. We’re working every day to improve the lives of nonprofits and donors alike as we help make global change.

Join thousands of donors using RoundUp App every day.

RoundUp App is completely free to use and connects you instantly to millions of nonprofits making change in the United States.

Austin, TX (March 4, 2020) – Flourish Change Inc. (Flourish) announced today that is has completed the acquisition of RoundUp App, bringing together the two dominant players in the growing “electronic round up” category. Both companies have focused on the nonprofit sector, helping 501(c)3s raise funds by enabling supporters to donate their “electronic change” from everyday debit card, credit card, and bank account transactions.

The two companies distributed funds in 2019 to more than 500 nonprofits across al 50 states and have processed donations from thousands of individuals. The client roster “big brands” such as the Houston Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity programs in multiple markets, numerous regional animal shelters, as well as small, local charities. The companies serve a wide variety of nonprofits including those focused on health and human services, education, the environment, sports and booster clubs, and houses of worship covering many faiths. According to the companies, during 2019 the average participating donor contributed $15.75/month in “round-up electronic change.”

The innovation of electronic round up donations is completely aligned with America’s rapid transition from bills and coins in purses… to digital wallets managed via smartphones and websites. Flourish and RoundUp App were pioneers in launching the concept – where every swipe of linked debit and credit cards is ’rounded up’ to the nearest dollar and automatically given to the donor’s chosen nonprofit. This enables everyone – regardless of age or income – to contribute a little change to their favorite charity as a part of daily behaviors in a way that’s easy, fun, and requires no effort. All that change adds up to create a big impact for worthy causes.

Fundraising professionals and volunteer leaders are increasingly attracted to Flourish’s suite of services because it is low cost, automated, and appeals to both younger and tech-savvy supporters. The platform is particularly useful for nonprofits focused on building ongoing giving programs and expanding digital donor communication and engagement. Both Flourish and RoundUp App are compatible with major nonprofit CRMs.

The combined companies will leverage the unique aspects of each company’s legacy features and benefits:

  • Flourish has a proven marketing playbook that fuels clients’ campaigns to drive consumer enrollment and participation. The firm has also built a proprietary texting suite that nonprofits use for low-cost, highly effective communication with volunteers and supporters.
  • RoundUp App owns the dominant URLs in the category including “RoundUp App,” making it the market leader in SEO, ranking #1 in Google for 30 significant keywords. This generates a steady flow of new clients month after month.

The Houston Food Bank is a typical client. “We chose Flourish for their ability to handle the entire donor lifecycle. From the moment a volunteer signs up for a shift, they are engaged and exposed to ways to help the food-bank, including using roundup donations. Since rolling out with Flourish, our volunteers are more excited and engaged, creating a valuable recurring donation source,” said Amy Ragan, the organization’s Chief Development Officer. The Houston Food Bank is the nation’s largest food bank by distribution within the Feeding America network.

As part of the transition, RoundUp App Co-Founder & CEO Grant Hensel will become an advisor to Flourish. Braden Fineberg (Flourish Co-Founder and CEO) and Zach Morrow (Flourish Co-Founder and COO) will continue in their roles.

Flourish is an early stage company that has received seed investments from Rough Draft Ventures, Dorm Room Fund, and 3 family offices. A capital raise to fund expansion is being planned for Spring 2020. Both companies’ technology platforms and website will continue to operate for the foreseeable future. RoundUp App is available via iOS App Store, Google Play Store, and their website.
